About Us

The Discipline Revolution Project is a coalition of education leaders and advocates committed to finding a better way forward on school discipline. This work is a collaboration between ThirdWay Solutions and TNTP, made possible by the support of the Walton Family Foundation and NewSchools Venture Fund.

Cami Anderson and ThirdWay Solutions

For nearly 10 years, Cami Anderson served as a superintendent of schools. First, she oversaw alternative high schools and programs serving 90,000 young adults in New York City, including students attending school while serving one-year suspensions and while incarcerated. She then supported 45,000 pre-K–12 students in Newark, New Jersey where radically changing the approach to discipline was a hallmark of her tenure and key to increasing student outcomes. As the the former Executive Director or Teach For America and Chief Program Officer of New Leaders for New Schools and current Chief-in-Residence at Chiefs for Change, she’s dedicated to coaching and supporting leaders at all levels of school reform. She’s the co-founder of ROADS, a network of charter high schools dedicated to court-involved youth and was recognized by TIME magazine as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.

In 2015 Cami founded ThirdWay Solutions to spark and support fundamental change in helping organizations dedicated to equity find new solutions to their most difficult challenges. The Discipline Revolution Project is core to the work of ThirdWay, and Cami is committed to the success of DRP partners.

A national nonprofit founded by teachers, TNTP helps school systems end educational inequality and achieve their goals for students. We work at every level of the public education system to attract and train talented teachers and school leaders, ensure rigorous and engaging classrooms, and create environments that prioritize great teaching and accelerate student learning. Today, TNTP is active in more than 30 cities.
